The Wyoming Valley Montessori School recently observed the Chinese New Year with a variety of activities. Students participated in a traditional Dragon Parade, made “fireworks” by jumping on bubble wrap and shared a sampling of Chinese food. Mrs. Julie Yuon, Mandarin Instructor, discussed with the students how Chinese children celebrate the day along with song and story.
