Primary students at the Wyoming Valley Montessori School in Kingston were presented the program “Healthy Smiles.” Presenter Darcie Schaffer, manager of Volunteers in Medicine Dental Services, assisted by dental students, Christina Carter, McCann School and Danielle Spadine, Marywood University, read a story to the students and then reviewed oral habits including brushing techniques, flossing and regular dental checkups. Volunteers in Medicine partners with the United Way of Wyoming Valley to promote positive health habits to children.
