The school held a very meaningful activity for International Peace Day,  Thursday, September 17th.

Each student brought in a rock and painted something related to peace or what peace means to them on their rock.  Since peace is such an intricate part of the Montessori curriculum, teachers discussed and reviewed the topic with the children. Then, on International Peace Day, the whole school body gathered on the playground, sang a song about peace and laid their rocks down to become a colorful pathway to the schoolyard.  The activity served to beautify the school grounds and, more importantly, to remind everyone about peace as they enter and exit our school each day.

Local stations WNEP and WBRE were on site to film the ceremony.  Click here to view the WNEP video.
