The Times Leader showcased the recent project conducted by our Sixth Years to promote safety and literacy. The students held an assembly to review what the lower elementary students learned from a recent visit to the Kingston Fire Department. Members of the Kingston Fire Department assisted with the assembly. After the program, each lower elementary student was given a personalized storybook entitled ‘My Trip to the Firehouse.’ The books were assembled and published by the sixth-grade students as a part of their year-long project of operating a book business.
